Daesang has steadily implemented its internationalization strategy since the early 1970s when Korea firstly launched the industrial modernization drive.
In 1973, Daesang was the first among Korea corporations to export a plant abroad by setting up PT. Miwon Indonesia Tbk, a joint-venture firm, for production of MSG.
With this business presence in Indonesia as a momentum, Daesang has vigorously pushed ahead with the strategy to build a global business network and localize its products abroad.
In an effort to aggressively tap the MSG markets of South East Asia and other nations, Daesang has set up PT.IMCI(Indo Miwon Citra Inti), the second joint-venture company in indonesia and PT. Aneka Boga Nusantara, third joint-venture fish-processing firm, in the country.
In Vietnam, Daesang has also set up a MSG factory. As a result, Daesang has successfully built a global MSG production network in the past three decades.
Daesang has locally-incorporated trading firms in the Untied Stated, Europe, Japan, Hong Kong, China and Central Asia, laying the foundation for it to analyze overseas market trends, collect information on overseas markets, carry out overseas marketing activities, and build a global management system. |
